Today we are beginning the next phase of the project. As a graded assignment your task today is a semi-scavenger hunt to acquire as much information as possible about the final video project. You will examine our class wiki archives, the current NETGENED Wiki and NETGENED Ning. The final product for today should represent each of you and have some contribution regarding the final video assignment of this project. It should be comprehensive and thorough so that the entire class understands the assignment and your tasks for the next few weeks. Be sure no one else is editing when you are! And I encourage you to to open each site as a new tab so you can work more easily between each site.
Tuesday, April 17th
Today you need to decide what type of "outsourced" clip you could use in your video. This you need to type on the wiki page below, next to your name-then tomorrow we will walk you through the formal request of asking for that clip.
Jad:
Haly: A short clip or picture of someone playing an educational game on a wii or kinect, or alternitavley an app to help you study on an ipad.
Roberto: All work should by cited, and outsourced videos must be included.
Dana:
Morgan: A clip of students using tablets to work collaboratively on a project in the classroom.
Marisa: I want a clip of someone playing a video game and failing or a clip of someone using Guitar Hero's practice more OR someone playing Portals.
Taylor: Students playing Jepordy or a typing game in class.
Miryam: i would like a clip of a sims(the videogame)classroom filled with kids learning... and looking happy and interacting with the teacher...
Joel:
Brenda: a video of someone using their iphone during class to do research
Christian: A short clip of students in a class room interacting with a tablet educationaly.
Salim:
Final Video Project
Jad discovered that it's required for you to request outsourced clips.
Haly discovered that the video should have a nice balance of music and voice overs.
Roberto discovered that all sources and work not generated by the student themselves must be sited. Outsourced clips are requried in each video.
Joel discovered
the video is competing for a prize so appropriate licensing is important and credits are required at the end of the film
Salim discovered we need outsourced videos from our project group members and we must give them a video as well. Adding transitions, music, and credits among other things will make the video more legitimate and it must be uploaded to the Ning.
Dana discovered
Taylor discovered that the video must be 1 to 5 minutes long. Any longer, and permission to do so is required.
Marisa discovered - Each person is making an individual video 1-5 minutes long. To get request video clips you not only have to send a message to the person through the ning, but you also have to post the request on the wiki under the outsourcing tab.
Brenda discovered that we are all resposible for making a 1-5 minute long video about our assigned topic, talk about how out topic helps our education. we are also required to use outsourced clips.
Miryam discovered that each person has the opportunity to create a video that is 1-5 minute long, talking about your topic and if you do well you can win an award for your video.
Morgan discovered- this video looks for ideas that will help shape the future of education.
- Each video should relate to their primary topic and should be influenced by their subtopic as well.
Perry & Zak discovered
Christian discovered
- Each video should be at least 1-5 minutes long and have what your topic is about and have your citations cited.
April 23rd-April 26th
TAKS Testing-NO Class all week

Finish up the project videos
Jad, Marisa, and Dana-Your students never received their outsourced videos-your task today, before you do anything else, is to ensure they receive it and make sure all the links and videos are working. If they are not, please reshoot and resubmit.
Everyone else-please take the time to:
1. Check for an outsourced video to you
2. Check to make sure your student received their outsourced video
3. Begin making your video! The deadline is tomorrow and we are really trying to meet it!
4. Your videos should address the following questions:
How can your technology trend positively impact education? (Now and in the future)
How and why is your subtopic (Freedom or Customization for example) important to the tech trend?
What drawbacks does the tech trend have and how can those be addressed?
May 2nd-4th
You should start shooting video footage. Right here, right now, today. Your videos as your final exam for me on due this Friday and should be uploaded properly to the NING and linked correctly on the NETGENED Wiki. Please see the formatting requirements on the Wiki.
